A customer describes the job

In their own words, with photos, and answers to a few questions anyone can answer. They confirm their email first.

You see it, anonymously

If a part is in your trades and the postcode is in your districts. Ask a question if you need to; the answer goes to everyone who quotes.

You quote, blind

A fixed price, an estimate, or a visit first, per part you do. Change or withdraw it until the customer reveals the quotes.

The customer reveals and chooses

They see your profile and quote and can chat with you. Their phone, email and address go to the contractors they invite or choose.

The one rule: the job runs in English

You take the job, run it and deliver it in English. The quote, scheduling, questions, changes and the final invoice go through someone in your business who speaks English with the customer.

Your workers on site don't need to speak English. But the customer always has one person to talk to in English, and we speak with that person, in English, before we activate you.

Who we work with

Businesses with a registered Gewerbe and liability insurance (Betriebshaftpflicht). For trades that need it, an entry in the Handwerksrolle. We check every application before any request reaches you.

You'll fit right in if…

Questions contractors ask

Nothing while Klarbuild is in its calibration phase. Once requests pick up, a flat monthly fee starts for your plan, announced in writing at least 14 days ahead. You can leave before it starts at no cost. Basic is €29 a month, Premium €59. Cancel any month; pay a year ahead and get two months free. Never a fee per job, per quote or per contact. The first 10 contractors keep 30% off either plan (€20.30 and €41.30 a month), for as long as they stay on Klarbuild without a break. The founder price and the yearly discount don't combine.

Only the customer, and only once they reveal the quotes. Before that they see how many quotes there are and the range per part; other contractors see only how many quotes there are, never anyone's prices. Your quote is the final price the customer pays: VAT included, or your plain price if you're a Kleinunternehmer.

No. Klarbuild never concludes the contract. When a customer chooses you, you send your own written offer, on your own terms. A fixed price should be one you'd stand by; an estimate is an estimate, and the customer sees which is which.

Honestly, we don't know yet. Klarbuild is new, and we open to customers once enough trades are covered. We'd rather under-promise than sell you a number: judge us by what lands in your inbox.
